1. About Jobs and Skills Month 

Jobs and Skills Month, which takes place from 20 October to 20 November 2026, is a national initiative run by Jobs and Skills Australia, within the Commonwealth Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (ABN 96 584 957 427).

This website is managed by Jobs and Skills Australia. The information on this website is presented for the purpose of delivering information to the public.

This includes an event calendar which contains information on events or activities organised for Jobs and Skills Month, some of which are run by third parties.

By using this site, you agree to these Terms of Use.

2. Site contents

  1. Jobs and Skills Australia monitors the quality of the information available on this website and updates it regularly. 
  2. While Jobs and Skills Australia make every effort to ensure that content is accurate and up to date, you should exercise your own independent skill and judgment before you rely on it. Jobs and Skills Australia does not make any representation or warranty about the accuracy, reliability, currency or completeness of any material contained on this website or on any linked site. 
  3. Links to other websites are included for convenience and do not constitute an endorsement of material at those sites, or any associated organisation, event, activity, product or service.
  4. In some cases, the material on this website may incorporate or summarise views, standards or recommendations of third parties, or comprise material contributed by third parties (“third party material”). This material is assembled in good faith, but does not necessarily reflect the considered views of Jobs and Skills Australia or indicate a commitment to a particular course of action. 3. Running an event or activity

If you choose to run an event or activity as part of Jobs and Skills Month, you acknowledge and agree that:

  1. You are responsible for planning, organising and delivering your event or activity;
  2. Your participation is voluntary and you are running an event or activity at your own cost and risk;
  3. You must not represent yourself as acting on behalf of, or being authorised to bind, Jobs and Skills Australia when running an event or activity; and
  4. You must not do anything that could reasonably be expected to bring Jobs and Skills Australia or Jobs and Skills Month into disrepute. If you are involved in an issue that arises that may negatively affect the reputation of Jobs and Skills Australia or Jobs and Skills Month, you must notify Jobs and Skills Australia as soon as possible.

4. Registration

  1. Events or activities must be registered using the registration process provided by Jobs and Skills Australia. If you do not register, your event or activity may not be part of Jobs and Skills Month. Information on how to register is available from the Jobs and Skills Month Events page.
  2. If you submit content (including event or activity details, descriptions, images or other materials provided by you) as part of your registration, you warrant you have the right to provide it and that it is accurate. You grant Jobs and Skills Australia a non exclusive, royalty free licence to use, reproduce, edit, publish and communicate your submitted content for administering and promoting Jobs and Skills Month (including on this website and related channels).
  3. Attendance at registered events or activities must be free of charge. This does not prevent you from charging separately for food and beverages.
  4. Jobs and Skills Australia may update event or activity details, decline to list an event or activity, or remove an event or activity from the Jobs and Skills Month event calendar at any time.
  5. If you change, reschedule or cancel your event or activity, you must promptly notify Jobs and Skills Australia to arrange for the registration details to be updated (see clause 11).

5. Branding and promotion

If Jobs and Skills Australia provides its Jobs and Skills Month logo, branding or promotional material for your event or activity:
(a)    You may use it only to promote your involvement in Jobs and Skills Month;
(b)    You must follow any Jobs and Skills Month branding guidelines provided; and
(c)    Jobs and Skills Australia may ask you to remove or change any Jobs and Skills Month logo, branding or promotional material at any time, and you must comply promptly.
You are responsible for any publicity, media releases or public statements you make about your event or activity or involvement in Jobs and Skills Month.

6. Legal and safety obligations

You are responsible for ensuring that your event or activity:

  1. complies with all applicable laws, including work health and safety laws;
  2. is conducted in a safe manner and does not put attendees or the general public at risk; and
  3. has any licences, permits, approvals or insurance required by law.

You must promptly notify Jobs and Skills Australia of any serious safety incident or issue connected with your event or activity.

7. Liability in relation to events and activities

To the extent permitted by law:

  1. Jobs and Skills Australia is not responsible for any loss, damage, injury or claim from you or a third party arising from your participation in Jobs and Skills Month or your event or activity; and
  2. Jobs and Skills Australia does not guarantee any attendance numbers, benefits or outcomes for your event or activity.

8. Privacy

  1. Jobs and Skills Australia’s Engagement Privacy Statement and Privacy Policy apply. These policies explain how personal information is handled, including how to access or correct your information and how to make a complaint. Copies of these documents are available on the Jobs and Skills Australia website:

  2. Jobs and Skills Australia collects personal information to administer Jobs and Skills Month and related engagement activities.
  3. Personal information may include your name, contact details, organisation, event or activity details, and any other information you choose to provide.
  4. By submitting information, you confirm that:
    1. you have consent to provide the personal information of any other individual included in your submission; and
    2. your registration does not include confidential information about any individual or organisation.
  5. Personal information is protected by law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Information collected may be used by Jobs and Skills Australia and disclosed to service providers supporting Jobs and Skills Month for purposes such as:
    1. administering registrations;
    2. publishing event and activity information; and
    3. distributing communications.
  6. De identified information may be shared with Commonwealth, state and territory governments to inform skills related policy and reporting.
  7. Personal information will not be used or disclosed for any other purpose unless authorised or required by law.
  8. Participation is voluntary. If you choose not to provide information, you may not be able to register or run an event or activity as part of Jobs and Skills Month.

9. Changes and termination

  1. Jobs and Skills Australia may update these Terms of Use from time to time by publishing a revised version. Please check back to see any updates or changes. 
  2. Jobs and Skills Australia may end your participation in Jobs and Skills Month at any time, including by removing your event or activity listing or requiring you to stop using Jobs and Skills Month branding.

10. Governing law

These Terms of Use are governed by the law of the Australian Capital Territory.
