Jobs & Skills Month is bringing people together across Australia to explore the ideas, evidence and opportunities shaping the future of jobs and skills.
Running from 20 October to 20 November, the inaugural month will feature events and activities across the country under the theme Pathways to Success.
Here is a look at what is happening throughout the month.
Jobs and Skills Australia Roadshow 2026
Jobs and Skills Australia (JSA) is hitting the road throughout Jobs & Skills Month, bringing conversations about Australia’s changing labour market to communities across the country.
The JSA Roadshow will bring together JSA, state and territory governments, industry leaders, local experts and stakeholders to explore the latest labour market trends, workforce challenges and emerging opportunities.
Through presentations and panel discussions, each stop will combine JSA’s latest evidence and insights with local perspectives on the jobs, skills and training landscape.

Hackathon
Bring your ideas, experience and curiosity to a full day of collaboration and creative problem solving.
The Jobs & Skills Month Hackathon will bring together participants from across the jobs and skills system to explore ideas that could help Australians navigate changing workforce and skills needs.
Working in teams, participants will generate, test and refine ideas in response to a challenge facing Australia’s jobs and skills system.
Participants will be able to take part as a team or individually, with opportunities to collaborate, make new connections and learn from Jobs and Skills Australia experts.
Roadmap for Regional Australia
What do regional communities need to build to sustain the workforces of the future?
This Jobs & Skills Month event will mark the release of phase 2 of Jobs and Skills Australia’s Jobs and Skills Roadmap for Regional Australia, with a panel discussion exploring what its findings mean for regional communities.
Bringing together representatives from regional development, industry, education and government, the discussion will examine how jobs and skills connect with broader regional development, including housing, infrastructure, transport and access to services.
It will explore the opportunities and challenges shaping regional Australia and what they mean for governments, industry and communities working to strengthen regional workforces.
These are just some of the activities taking place during Jobs & Skills Month. Explore the Jobs & Skills Month calendar for events being hosted by organisations across Australia and keep an eye on the Jobs & Skills Month website and our social channels for more details as they are released.
