As part of Jobs & Skills Month 2026, join Future Skills Organisation, the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) and the National AI Centre for a conversation about lifelong learning in a rapidly changing world of work.
Hear from Skills Accelerator partners and participating bookkeepers about a pilot co-created by industry, government and learning partners to build AI capability in the workforce. Delivered through Go1, the pilot combined curated learning, responsible AI guidance and content shaped by practising bookkeepers to help participants build confidence and apply AI safely and practically in their work.
Bookkeepers were selected as the first cohort because they are navigating the impact of AI on their own profession, while also helping thousands of small businesses adopt new technologies. Early results from the first phase show increased confidence and use of AI among participants, offering useful insights into how partnership-led, profession-focused learning can build capability at scale.
You'll hear about:
- Why the National AI Centre established this pilot
- What bookkeepers learned and how they are applying AI in their work
- How practical learning can build confidence in the safe and responsible use of AI
- Why content designed with industry can make learning more relevant
- The role of professional associations in supporting lifelong learning
- What the pilot can teach us about building AI capability across other professions and small businesses.
