After strong engagement across our 2026 events, MINTRAC Industry Connect is heading to New South Wales. MINTRAC's October event has been endorsed under the NSW Small Business Month for October, and the national Jobs & Skills Month which is an initiative of Jobs & Skills Australia.
As a part of these state and national governmental initiatives, MINTRACs Industry Connect for October will be hosted as a FREE event.
The event will deliver targeted meat processing industry subject matter that will continue to shape the red meat processing sector.
Forum discussions will target the following themes and stakeholder groups in two concurrent streams:
Retail Butchery Stream for Store owners and Managers
- Retail Butchery - Buying or selling a business
- Food Safety & Hygiene
- Leveraging Social Media
- Workplace Safety
Processing Stream for HR/RTO/Training Practitioners
- Workforce Participation - Foreign labour schemes and Anti-Slavery. A coffee with the NSW Anti-Slavery Commissioner
- Manufacturing - Leadership program and Food Innovation Hub facility site tour
- State of VET and the RTO Sector - Registered Training Organisations and Employers will unpack opportunities and challenges facing training delivery and participation
- Funding Programs - Government representatives from Regional Development Australia, Service NSW Business Bureau, SafeWorkNSW, Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, NSW Department of Education: Training Services-AgSkilled-Regional Industry Education Partnerships (RIEP) & Workforce Australia will deliver briefings
- Worker Safety - MINTRACs Worker Safety Induction immersive learning suite demonstration
The Industry Connect program has been structured to encourage practical discussion, peer engagement, industry interaction and networking.
Delegates will hear directly from regulators, peak bodies, operational leaders and workforce specialists contributing to conversations shaping industry nationally.
