Hear from renowned mental health nursing leader, Professor Nicholas Procter, for an engaging evening exploring trauma-informed practice and its intersection with suicide prevention.
This session will cover the influence of trauma upon suicide and safety planning in suicide prevention with people in distress. It will explain the underlying logic of trauma informed practice and person-centred care and ways to support someone experiencing distress. You will also have the opportunity to hear more about the Graduate Diploma in Nursing specialising in Mental Health from the Program Director.
Registered nurses who attend in person will receive an electronic certificate of attendance, which can be used to claim one hour of Continuous Professional Development (CPD). For those attending online, an electronic certificate will be emailed upon completion of the online reflection questions.
