The Metropolitan Team at the Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET) invites stakeholders to their final Employment and Training Forum for the year.
The Employment and Training Forum aims to:
- Provide a collaborative platform for VET stakeholders to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and strengthen partnerships.
- Highlight regional opportunities, best practices, and innovative workforce development strategies, including training approaches, promoting workplace diversity, and strategies for becoming an employer of choice.
- Address key challenges, such as labour and skills shortages, as well as barriers faced by apprentices and trainees.
- Align local initiatives with Queensland Government priorities to enhance employment and training outcomes while fostering valuable connections.
Under the theme The Future is Partnerships, the forum will highlight the importance of working together to achieve better training and employment outcomes. Strong partnerships between government, training providers, industry, employers and community organisations is essential for creating opportunity and aligning efforts to better respond to workforce and training needs.
